SAN FRANCISCO - Gap founder's Presidio art museum to be redesigned

Gap founder Don Fisher agreed to redesign the controversial modern art museum he wants to build on the Presidio's Main Post after the federal agency that oversees the park said Friday that it wants to scale back the size of new development. The Presidio Trust is making the changes after harsh criticism from preservationists, neighbors and some city officials, who are concerned that the museum might overwhelm the area's character or destroy archaeological sites.
