South Africa is not a nation that takes art seriously. So there's been a dearth of headlines recording the sale of the iconic, groundbreaking Goodman Gallery. Yet it's the talk of the art world. Gauteng curator Liza Essers, who at 34 is half the age of Linda Givon, has acquired Givon's original Goodman Gallery, launched in Johannesburg in 1966, as well as her new Goodman Cape.
