TORONTO, Canada - A blue day for the fine art market

The global economic downturn appears to have hit this country's fine art market, with Sotheby's Canada selling just 60 per cent of the 225 lots at its fall auction yesterday. The auction house usually sells 90 per cent of lots, said president David Silcox. "That's a significant loss," he said in an interview after the sale.
