Jonathan Jones, Robert Clark, Jessica Lack, and Charlotte Higgins of the Guardian come up with 17. They begin with a South-Korean born artist considered to be the first video artist, and developed the idea of an electronic superhighway in 1974. This 49-channel closed-circuit video installation is a retort to America's obsession with television, the moving image and all things bright and shiny.
