Exhibition Description:

The Essl Museum will be presenting >AUSTRIA conTEMPORARY<, which turns the spotlight on artists who do not yet have a strong presence in the arts and exhibition sector but who are expected to shape the art scene in Austria in years to come. 16 artists were chosen from more than 1.000 applications. The show will be staged in the framework of the exhibition series >emerging artists< and is curated by Christine Humpl. The work by Karin Maria Pfeifer consists of paintings, photos and objects where women play a decisive role – they are witty, relaxed and have slightly socio-critical undertones.
