Exhibition Title: Crystal Lightness

Artist Name: Aljoscha and Harald Kröner
Dates: untill August 30, 2008
Website: http://www.bernhardknaus-art.de

Exhibition Description:

The drawings by Harald Kröner stand out by their delicately composed forms and lines. His work consists of small drawings and collages made with a variety of different papers, and also large size works of the series "Yappanoise".

Kröner's uses grids on big paper sheets to trace in lines of ink and small colour spots, forms and structures with a high quality of lightness and fragility. These works on paper narrow and focus the eye's attention, encouraging the viewer to "read" every line, which demands an intimacy and a certain level of commitment. But what they give back, in their simplicity and richness, is indescribably moving.

The mysterious objects by Aljoscha seemed to have formed themselves organically. He uses an elaborate process to build these fascinating sculptures from acrylic paint. These imaginative forms represent unknown microscopic organisms from the depths of the ocean.
