Exhibition Title: tough

Artist Name: Jeanette Doyle
Dates: 9th April-10th May 2008
Medium: film
Website: http://www.motherstankstation.com

Exhibition Description:

Jeanette Doyle presents a series of project exhibitions focusing upon an artist returning from a prolonged studio residency. Her intention for these projects is not so much to exhibit work produced during the residencies. Rather, she examines the catalytic effect of such intense periods of artistic activity upon an artist’s broader practice.

The theme is based on the audio track from Sidney Lumet’s ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ (1974). The artist goes about describing her own narrative of this 'blockbuster’ movie.

Education and Training:

Jeanette Doyle was born in 1969, Dublin. She lives and works in Ireland and has
exhibited intensively on the international circuit since studying at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin.
