Exhibition Description:

This is a group exhibition presenting new work, two new artists and a collection by Henrik Simonsen in the upstairs gallery.

Simonsen has focused on nature as a central theme for years. He is attracted to it's inexhaustible richness and metaphorical ability to speak of human existence - life, passion and the brevity of existence.

For this collection, Simonsen has found an influence in the Rococco period of the 18th century, specifically between 1730 and 1765. During this period artists looked for inspiration in nature, celebrating the sinuous, the organic and the sensuous.
