Exhibition Title: Blue Period

Artist Name: Jonathan Yeo
Dates: 5 Jun - 11 Jul
Medium: Collage
Website: http://www.lazinc.com

Exhibition Description:

The Contemporary artist Jonathan Yeo, leading painter of celebrities and politicans of our time, has created a series of new works, inspired by his famous George W
Bush porn collage.

The artist's skill in portrait painting has seen him receive numerous commissions from a variety of high-profile personalities, namely David Walliams, Erin O’ Connor, Dennis Hopper and George Bush.

Jonathan Yeo’s depiction of the then British Prime Minister, Tony Blair in 2008 with its blood red remembrance poppy has become the iconic image around the world. When Yeo’s communications with the Bush team slowly ground to a halt, he decided to use his art to offend a man he himself found offensive. The Bush porn portrait became instantly famous world-wide representing a combination of political satire and Yeo’s obsession with producing highly-crafted pictures.
