Exhibition Title: Ronzo’s Disstopia
Artist Name: Ronzo
Dates: 19th Jun - 6th Jul
Website: http://www.stolenspace.com
Exhibition Description:
Disstopia will feature a new body of canvases, collages, installations and drawings by Ronzo. The theme maps out visions of an apocalyptic future set in the wastelands of what was once the City of London.
Ronzo examines not only the ruins of the architectural landscape, but focuses on the human aspect of life in a society, the day after. He plays with our fears and hopes of an uncertain, not too distant future. Ronzo does this by creating a postgraffiti future vision of a vandal from a street level perspective.
The work is a fusion of the figurative and abstract. Some works are three-dimensional, mixed-media collages created from objects and surfaces taken directly from the street and affixed to the painting itself.
Description:
Ronzo’s driven artwork and the continuous will to make and take graffiti to another level has gained him respect within the art underground. This has allowed him to exhibit his work alongside heavy hitters such as Banksy, D*Face, Eine, Shepard Fairey, WK Interact, Adam Neate and many others.
