Exhibition Description:

Jean-Marc Calvet has produced an explosive visual arts experience on arrival in New York City. This self taught painter's works can be described as the product of Hieronymus Bosch and Dante discovering an art studio in Hell.

Calvet's works are brilliant by their brutal raw honesty, opening a Pandora’s Box of man made monsters so that viewers can witness the grace of redemption. Alarming and fascinating in their explosive use of color and intricate detailing, his canvas' are unique and personal in that they allow one the opportunity to reach out and touch the artist's pain, fear, and vulnerability.

A powerful documentary film of Calvet's personal evolution is currently being captured and is described to be sure to propel him into the bright lights of world recognition and respect. It is the "innate sophistication of Jean-Marc Calvet's vision and the accomplished technique with which he makes it manifest on canvas," explains Ed McCormack, Editor in Chief of Gallery & Studio Magazine.
